I ordered an Aluminati because i wanted a solid bass with great sustain and consistency across the fretboard. I got that in spades, and MUCH more. This bass feels absolutely amazing. The build is so solid that it almost feels like the whole thing was carved from on piece of material, and thanks to the excellent neck design, balance couldn’t be any better. The sound of the bass is clear and mid forward with a tight low end. It excels at everything from laying back in a grove with a clean tone to playing chords with heavy distortion. The string to string clarity when playing more than one note at a time is unique to any other bass i’ve ever played. I have basses that cost 2,3 and even 4x as much as the Helios, and this thing feels every bit as meticulously crafted as those. I doubt anyone would be disappointed with one of these at 2x the price.
