I was fortunate to connect with James when he was in town and try a full build model through some amps and loved the neck shape and quality control of the machined nut slots. I ordered a bolt on with the same specs (3x3 polished, chrome locking tuners) and started on my build with it. I used a J Mascis Jazzmaster and rewired the guard and changed the pickups on it. The neck was a perfect fitment requiring no work to the neck pocket for fitment. Neck bolts went in easily and mounted up without requiring any shim work. Intonated the bridge and dropped in my heavy string gauge set and the guitar has such an intense midrange sustain and body to it. Could recommend the comfortable neck shape and the light weight construction any more!
Thank you!
I got an the polished aluminum ultralight 3x3 with balck inlays (pretty classic) This neck is absolutely amazing. I'm in Asheville where Aluminati is located, and they were kind enough to install a 3x3 neck on my Jazzmaster. It looks absolutely ridiculous, and sounds even better. The open headstock reminds me of old Kramers, and the polished aluminum looks beautiful. Super clear, chiming, and resonance for days. The neck is incredibly comfortable with a nice taper as you move up. Definitely going to get a baritone for my tele next!
If you are looking for an aluminum neck, this is the one—great feel and fit. The bends are so smooth and playability is fantastic. Be advised the nut spacing is a bit wider than my other guitars. It feels similar to that of an acoustic neck nut, which I didn't realize until it arrived. Took a minute to get used to but it is easily the smoothest playing neck I have. 5/5.
I've collected several excellent aluminum guitars/necks from EGC, Baguley and Robot Graves over the last decade, but I'd have to say I was surprised and floored to find that my Aluminati neck is superior to all of them. It is lighter, more resonant and just feels better in my hand than the others do (I feel like I can play the $h!! out of it too). The fretwork is impeccable and the thing sustains forever and a day. I'm stoked that I ordered one to pair with my old Silver Sparkle Jagmaster body this year. I'll be ordering a baritone and a carbon fiber version soon as well. Anyone wanna buy an EGC baritone or RGI neck?? Kidding, not kidding. :)
I’ve had my Aluminati necks for over a year now and I’m beyond impressed. The profile is the thickest on the market, which is more comfortable to me than most other aluminum neck offerings which end up making my hands cramp up from their thin profiles. Pair the profile with the hollow design and you’ve got this incredible resonance that I haven’t found in other necks before, but sure glad I did. Makes my guitar resonate and sustain like no other. I’m also addicted to the carbon fretboard. After I put my first Aluminati neck on a guitar, it quickly became my favorite, and has stayed that way ever since. The anodizing makes the necks incredibly fast, and beautiful too. My first neck is black anodized, my second is brushed.
Fretwork, craftsmanship, and overall customer service all top notch. I couldn’t recommend these necks enough.
Thanks, Aluminati!
