Absolutely perfect!

I own a few necks from other makers, but due to the weight, I was limited what body I could use, unless I wanted to deal with massive neck dive. After reading about Aluminati necks, and how light they were, I was intrigued. I think James and team could sense this, as shortly after they put some ready made up on Reverb, so I figured I'd give it a shot. Got it about a week after ordered. It arrived, I opened, and was immediately blown away by the craftsmanship of the neck. It was flawless, and gorgeous. As soon as I picked it up I was amazed at how light it was. I installed it on a Fender Marauder body (I had tried another neck on it, but had massive dive), and I knew instantly that I was going to love playing this guitar. The balance was perfect, as was the fit. The neck is extremely comfortable in the hand. It's much thicker than two of my other aluminum neck, and that's a total win for me. The solid necks get pretty thin to cut down on weight. I much prefer the thicker Aluminati, and it weighs less. In fact I liked it so much that the day I got it I ordered a Nebula for another build.

A modern twist on tradition

I bought the Aurora 6 Inline polished neck because I had started a project guitar from an old piece of ash that was found in a barn and was just about big enough to make a one-piece tele body. I wasn't trying to make a traditional tele so I had gone down the road of a two humbucker (Bare Knuckle Rebel Yell pickups) configuration with a split coil configuration. I was looking to bring something new to the build and stumbled across Aluminati’s website and just loved the look of the Aurora polished neck and was intrigued to see what sound it would bring to the build so I ordered one up. As the necks are built to order and hand crafted, it’s not a quick process, but was so worth the wait. The old ash was dense and heavy so the neck, although not overly heavy, balances beautifully with it. Most importantly the dense ash body and the rigidity of the aluminium neck have produced a guitar that sings forever, the sustain is just amazing. James and the team were great during the whole process, sending build photos and keeping me updated. The quality of the build and finish is just amazing, I could not recommend them enough. If you are looking for a different, and yet familiar, guitar neck this may be for you. If you are worried about the feel of the neck, it is actually really nice to play and after a short while of playing you just forget it’s not wood. Just because it’s not wood doesn’t mean it has to look or feel like some space age ‘Metal’ guitar, mine still looks traditional, with a modern twist.

Guitar is a joy to play again

The Aurora was a direct replacement of a Vaccaro neck on an aluminum guitar custom made for me over 15 years ago. I just came to dislike playing the guitar, the neck was clunky and the action high. Aluminati said the Aurora was basically a Jazzmaster replacement and I have a Jazzmaster that I enjoy very much so I decided to give it a try and I am glad I did. After drilling new holes in the neck (because of the guitar) and installing it, I was able to get the action much lower than the previous neck and now this guitar is so much fun to play. The Jazzmaster shape is easy to play, just feels so much nicer on my left hand. I am so happy I did this.

I have been working on a Tele Thinline build and decided to put a polished Aurora neck on it. This thing sings and chugs! I'v got a humbucker in the neck for some extra girth and wow, the combo of the chambered neck with its clarity of tone and light weight with the chambered body and that pick up configuration is amazing. People say Telecasters are the most versatile design but when you combine it with one an Aluminati neck it opens up the possibilities even more.

Illumination from Aluminati.

I had a particular guitar in mind when I ordered the Aluminum neck from the Aluminati company. However things went south when the neck holes on the body did not align with the neck. So I then chose to use a strat I had assembled last year from parts from ebay and Guitar Fetish. I decided to remove the neck on this guitar and add the Aluminati neck. It was like Cindrella getting the slipper that fit.The guitar plays like butter, and the tone is impeccable. I will admit this guitar is heavy (from a gravitational perspective). So I cancelled my membership to the local gym. I can now bench press my Aluminati strat to stay fit, and play it without fear of it degenerating.
